Thank You For Bringing The Good Equipment!
Daniel Pavlina
brought a high-quality basket, and so did Dave and Jen Copp. With those baskets, we did not have to use two of my lower-quality, lightweight baskets that are easy for me to transport but don’t catch as well.  Elise and Kyle Lieberman brought a backstop net that stopped errant shots from invading the floor below the stage.

League Total Points: Top 12 Rounds (4 weeks).
The points for a player’s top 12 scores (from any 4 weeks) are used for the point totals on the leaderboard. If a player attended all 5 weeks the lowest 3 scores will be dropped. If a player attended 4 weeks or less, all of their round scores will be used for the leaderboard.

Week 1, A Smooth Operation!
I want to thank everyone for helping with the setup, tear down, and transport of the equipment. I would not be able to run the putting league without your assistance. It went smoothly and allowed us the extra time we needed to have the “Ace Run” challenge after round #3 and give away a second disc.

I hope all of you can make it.

Results for Week 2; November 22, 2022

Putting up to elevated basket on stage.

A Challenging Course.

Lots of straddle putts on week 2.

Kudos to the hole designers this week as it was both entertaining and challenging. The putting layouts this week were more challenging than Week 1 as reflected in lower point totals across the board: No team scored more than 80 points on any round. The layouts required a number of straddle putts and the strategic placement of obstacles tested everyone.

If you made some putts this week – Well done!

As usual, the little basket of hate in the hall claimed more victims. The people in the gym may not have been aware of your pain because, … in the hall, no one can hear you scream

Week 1 Success!
Even though we had a shortened time slot because of the scheduling overlap, week 1 was a success. I want to thank everyone for helping with the set up, tear down and transport of the equipment. I would not be able to run the putting league without your assistance.

Redesigned Obstacles Worked.
The redesigned obstacles appeared to be an improvement as the set up and tear down seemed to be both easier and faster than last year.

David Copp chose a green star aviar.

Results for Week 5; December 7, 2021

Thank you!
The league would not work without the help all of you provided each week.

Toughest Week Yet!
The league description states, “We will use varying distances and obstacles to create progressively more difficult, and interesting putts.” That was on clear display for week 5. Week 5 had the most difficult layouts of the season. There were a lot of discs on the floor this week scattered around the baskets. Kudos to you for all the made putts.

Bill O’Dell chose a red Katana.

Challenging Putts!
There have been very creative hole layouts this season. Kudos to you folks for your ingenuity. The unusual challenges this week included the upward blowing fan in front of the basket on hole #2, the “throw over the top” putt for tee #2 on basket #3 and the Over/Under on #5. The grumpy little basket of hate in the hallway still hates everyone equally – Don’t take it personally.  If you had a tough week — so did a lot of others. No team reached the 100 point total for any round this week.

Putting Challenge: Ran out of time. Oops.
Unfortunately, I underestimated the time needed for the “Roll and Putt” challenge, so we had to end the challenge before there was a winner. We can do a different putting challenge on week #5.

League Total Points: Top 12 Rounds (4 weeks).
The points for a player’s top 12 rounds (from any 4 weeks) are used for the point totals on the leader board. If a player attended all 5 weeks the lowest 3 round totals will be dropped. If a player attended 4 weeks or less, all of their round points will be use for the leader board. Therefore, next week, week #5, will be “Moving Day”, because some players lower on the leader board have not had 12 rounds of points used for their total points.
